Our story is almost as amazing as our Scotch.

Let’s talk about being authentic. Like a genuine farm distillery in Scotland, free from corporate interference, growing our own barley and bottling our own whisky, kind of authentic.

That’s RAER.

Located in the village of Jackton, near Glasgow, we’ve been farming this land for decades. We’ve also been watching as Scotch whisky has drifted from its roots and traditions to be more about marketing and profit and status.

So we decided to shake things up. A lot.

Doing what’s right is the only way we do things.

We’re a new voice in Scotch whisky.

When we created RAER, our goal was to bring Scotch to a new generation of people who celebrate the moments in life that are indeed RAER. People like us. People who know that being inclusive matters. Caring about our planet matters. And putting people ahead of profit, well, that really matters.

Like our Scotch,

we’re getting better with age.

We are truly a family-owned and operated company. Jaynie, Claragh, Nicola and Jacob Kean are siblings. Together, they’re changing the world of scotch whisky one delicious glass at a time.

Of course, when twenty-somethings decide to shake up the Scotch world, the world tends to notice. (That’s why we’ve already won a barrel full of awards.) Laying down our first cask in 2020 – during the pandemic – may not have been the best timing, but it was the best thing we’ve ever done.

Our Scotch was the very best we’ve ever tasted.

Filling our first casks of Single Malt was something we will never forget. It was vindication that when you work together and believe in each other, amazing things happen.

While we let our casks mature, we would love for you to try our award-winning, masterfully blended, RAER Blended Scotch Whisky. It’s rich, warm, and alluring with hints of citrus zing and sweet caramel, delivering satisfaction from the first sip.

And if you think our RAER Blended Scotch Whisky is exceptional, just wait. Our single malts are maturing right now.

What’s the best way to enjoy RAER?

That’s up to you. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks or if you really want to shake things up, literally shake it up in your favorite cocktail recipes. Either way, please enjoy responsibly and create a few RAER moments with friends.

[ RAER Moment ]

50ml RAER Whisky
25ml Lime juice
12.5ml Sugar syrup
Lemon & Lime Soda
Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker (apart from lemonade). Shake hard with cubed ice. Fine strain into a coupe (or goblet over cubed ice). Top with lemon and lime soda and garnish with a lemon twist or edible flower.

[ The Whisky Hop ]

25ml RAER Whisky
25ml Peach schnapps
50ml Pink grapefruit juice
12.5ml Sugar syrup
Top with IPA to taste
Add all ingredients (apart from soda) to the cocktail shaker. Shake hard with cubed ice. Fine strain into glass. Top with IPA and garnish with a pink grapefruit twist.

[ Honey and Orange Blossom ]

50ml RAER Whisky
25ml Lemon juice
12.5ml Honey
2 Teaspoons orange marmalade
Soda
Add all ingredients (apart from soda) to the cocktail shaker. Shake hard with cubed ice. Fine strain over cubed ice. Top with soda and garnish with an orange twist.

[ RAER Bird ]

40ml RAER Whisky
40ml Pineapple juice
20ml Coconut syrup
20ml Bitter aperitif
Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker. Shake hard with cubed ice. Remove the ice and re-shake. Fine strain into a coupe and garnish with a pineapple leaf.

[ The Cranachan ]

50ml RAER Whisky
25ml Lemon juice
12.5ml Sugar syrup
4 Raspberries
30ml Egg Whites (two tablespoons)
Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker. Shake hard with cubed ice. Remove the ice and re-shake. Fine strain into a coupe and garnish with shortbread and raspberries.

We’ve crossed the pond.

But you can’t just run to the store or buy a bottle online. At least not yet. For the time-being, finding a bottle of RAER is rare indeed. We’ve issued a limited initial release of RAER Original Blended Scotch Whisky in the great state of Florida. (More states coming soon we promise.)
